

Update: Since customer support is nonexistent with Bed Bath and Beyond, I decided to follow up with a letter of complaint to their corporate headquarters, but so far I've received no response. I'm not quite sure what their customer service representatives are being paid to do, but they definitely are NOT being paid to provide customer service. It's pretty easy to see why their stock has been plummeting. Understandably, I was beginning to wonder why I had bothered contacting Customer Support at all. Despite having been offered that option earlier in the conversation, I was now told that a refund would be impossible, as their system showed the merchandise as already having been delivered! Well, it may have been, but not to my house! By now, I was livid and asked if I could just cancel the order and get a refund. At this point, I had wasted an hour on this nonsense, with no one doing anything to help me. I replied that my understanding was that this was to be handled for me, and I was told that this would be impossible, despite having just been told otherwise.

I said I would prefer that it be handled for me, foolishly thinking that one of their representatives would be better able to communicate the problem internally. I was offered the option of calling a phone representative myself for more information, or having someone in Customer Support do it for me. Then the representative told me that all he (or she – since they don't identify themselves by name, it's impossible to tell) could tell me was that a replacement had been ordered. I said that I would prefer to receive the merchandise, if that wasn't an insurmountable problem. I was asked if I wanted a replacement or a refund. Nearly an hour later, what appeared to be a live person did finally sign into the text thread, but this person was even less helpful than the first representative. I received a text message saying that a representative would be with me in approximately 20 minutes. Neither of those things has happened, and over a week has now passed.Ī few days later, I reached out again via live chat. I immediately contacted Bed Bath & Beyond via live chat and explained the problem to a representative, who assured me that a replacement would be sent and that I would receive an email within 24 hours confirming this.

The photo the driver took was not of our house, and a cursory glance up and down our street revealed that he did not even manage to find our street, as there were no packages on any of the other porches nearby. The delivery driver left the package at the wrong house. On Tuesday, August 16, I ordered two CO2 canisters from Bed Bath and Beyond for same day delivery.

I shop with Amazon as I can get free shipping. I think it's mostly the borning stock the high shipping and site hiccups. I think better designed hipper products and of a slightly better quality and a website where one did not encounter an issue every time you tried to check out would go a long way. So think what they are buying and selling is only appealing to older people, or people with limited income that can't afford to shop elsewhere. They used to be the place that had 17 different scrubbers. When you can order and check out at Amazon and Target and have fresh tasteful styles in home goods being sold at Walmart (who would have called that?) why go to BBB and look for 1 or 2 styles of dust broom. Where Walmart, target and Amazon have gone up, they, Land's End, Sears and Macy's have gone down. The stock was so limited I bough few things for the dorm or for my home as they had nothing I liked the styling. I hope they can adjust quality and easy of ordering and the annoyances on the website and save themselves as I would be truly sad to see them go. You used to go in there and the bedding was wonderful and of the same quality as what you would find at Nordstrom and old Macy's before Macy's got kind a tacky.

The stuff all looks low end and like it would mostly be used in your Grandmother's trailer. I used to love BBB, but stopped shopping with them as much as the merchandise seem to like Sears, Kmart, JCpenny not keep pace with trends.
